Dear John...

I just finished reading Dear John last night. It was a heartbreaker. The ending was the definition of bittersweet. Everyone did what they needed to do in the end even if it wasn't the way they wanted it to be. Me and one of my best girlfriends have a date to see this next weekend. (Yes. Two single ladies in the midst of all the lovey dovey couples who will be seeing it opening weekend. We wont be the only ones.) The ending was almost SO bittersweet I thought twice if I really wanted to see the movie. I just rewatched the trailer and the chemistry between Channing and Amanda is SO there I know I just have to. And shirtless Channing Tatum helllooo. ;)
Blog ya later,
Bianca

Dream Destinations

I have always considered myself a European, maybe from the way I always keep a sophisticated style, or the fact that my last name is french, I have french ancestors, my great great grandfather was a spainard and I have irish in me somwhere according to my mom. I got the magnificent oppurunity to travel to Spain and Italy last year and fell in love with European culture. Dont get me wrong, I love the good old U.S of A but there was just something about being across the Atlantic...sailing on the Mediterannean...mingling with the Europeans...it was magical. My mother is a woman who gets what she wants and what she has been talking about the past year or so has been moving to Europe. I thought my mother was crazy when she wanted my family to move to Arizona. Well look at where we are now. I have no problems with moving to Europe as long as I get to finish my high school education at my school in AZ. There's just so many if's to the situation though. London is my first choice because you all know how much I love the British culture and drool over English boys. People complain about the rain but it's nothing an umbrella and some designer wellies cant fix. Then there's Spain...which is my mom's first choice. Spain is gorgeous, the architecture is amazing and the boys are the sexiest human beings I have seen in person in my lifetime. But they speak spanish. I'm learning Spanish the same way my older siblings did, by taking it alllll of their school years. My grandparents did not teach my dad spanish growing up so therefore that leaves work on me and my siblings part. I heard the only real way to learn spanish or eany language is to deposit yourself in their culture and you'll eventually pick it up. Even my spanish teacher swears by that. But that would mean a rough couple of months trying to become fluent. Then there is Paris, my mother's second choice. Paris is beautiful, the people are skinny, and helllooo croissants! But I have no desire to learn French and I'm muy sensitivo so the french people wouldnt be best for me. I was telling my mom on how I want to return to Italy and visit the places I didnt go such as Milan and Venice, and she said "Well when we live in Spain it will be like going to California! But better." and she's right. Who wouldnt want to do a weekend trip to Italy. Craving Italian food? Let' s go to that restaurant in front of the Parthenon! It all sounds so amazing. But I have a lot to think about. This year I'm auditioning like crazy for music opportunities since music is my main goal. It really all depends on what happens my last few years of high school. We'll see where I go from there. But I'll focus on the small things first. Such as, this summer I'm going to London and Paris. Is the school year over yet?

Mi cuarto es su cuarto

Lucky for me my mom is an interior designer and she just finished redecorating my room which I am in love with. The walls used to be bright pink and black and white adornments were all around. I wanted something more sophisticated though as I'm getting older. My only request-My precious Elvis poster I found for a bargain of ten bucks one Sunday afternoon at Suncoast movies MUST stay up. So now I ended up with a Parisian Vintage inspired room.
Me on my bed. I'm not lying-I was actually on the phone when I took this picture. Erika if you're reading, this is why I sounded so distant on the phone, I was trying to get a post up, teehee. Love ya!

I was really laughing. If I was faking it, this picture would not be pretty.

My cheer pictures.

I am always reading magazines. I ripped out the pictures of Gaga from that Elle Magazine with Britney on the cover but otherwise I'm leaving it untouched. The pictures in that spread are gorgeous.

The prized poster i was telling you about. Whenever I'm getting fruturated while doing stinkin' geometry at my desk I look at Elvis and everything is better again. That super cute Elvis lamp I got for Christmas from my big sis two years ago. It used to sing and dance when you pressed a button but it's batteries are slowly dying :'(

My cute little Elvis Beanie Baby my sister got from Vegas. How adorable is he??

Closeup on my Elvis lamp.

My whole desk area. (my mom made that chair)

Another gift from my sister Ashley. (We may argue a lot but she gives great gifts!) All the pops of pink I have in my room correspond to that poster.

My bed! I've been told my bed is the comfiest in the entire house. All of the pillows my mom had custom made. (With a B for Bianca of course!)
I have a GORGEOUS pin up poster of Britney Spears I bought from BritneySpears.com last year but no where to put it sadly. My mom also refuses to put it up because it's black and cream not black and white and it would look funny with all the other colors in the room. I'll find a way to get it up, or I'll just buy a black and white Britney poster when I find one. But overall I really do love my room. It screams me.

(Good)Smelly Stuff

I love perfume. Coco Chanel once said a woman has no future if she doesnt wear perfume. I did a little photo shoot with my whole collection :) All of these scents are fabulous buys
My newest addition I got for Christmas, Rock Princess by Vera Wang. Don't be fooled if you're not an edgy girl or Taylor Momsen/Courtney Love wannabe. This scent is musty but still sweet and I wear two to three times a week.

As you can tell-I really like Princess by Vera Wang. I recieved for Christmas two years ago and I wore it EVERYDAY for a good couple of months. It's every girl's signature perfume. I dont know anyone who could not like it.

The Princess Family

The next perfumes are going to be all Britney Spears. (I know, no surprise) But my mom who is definately not a sucker for celebrity names admits that Britney has some of the best Celebrity perfumes out there. Believe is one that I wore everyday for a while when I recieved it for my birthday. It's very light but it stays on throughout the day. Even when I'm sweaty at cheer practice my cheer girls tell me I still smell good and ask what I'm wearing.

Curious. The original and quite frankly her best. I cant even describe te scent of Curious except that's just what it is! Curious! It always draws you in but this fragrance is SO popular (It made one hundred million dollars it's first week in stores) that almost everyone recoognizes it when they smell it. You cannot go wrong with giving a girlfriend Curious for a gift.

Fantasy reminds me of Cotton Candy and other sweet things. It's very sweet and potent so a little goes a very long way. I would have to say it's my least favorite in the Britney saga of perfumes but that doesnt mean I dont like it. I'll still wear it when I'm feeling sweet and flirty.

MY FAVORITE. Circus Fantasy. This is Britney's latest and greatest perfume and it smells nothing like the other Fantasy spin offs. It's not too musky, and not too sweet with a little bit of vanilla I want to say. I wear this sparingly just because I want to savor it as long as I can. It just smells gooood.

Midnight Fantasy. Smells different from it's predescor (or however you spell that word) Fantasy. It's definately a nighttime fragrance but I've pullen off wearing it in the day. The only Britney Perfumes I'm missing are other spinoffs of her originals-Curious In Control and Hidden Fantasy. Once i get those my collection will be complete!

The whole Fragrance Family.
I have more perfumes than this, lots of Victoria's Secret Sprays and such but they're have been some perfumes I've been disappointed in. For example, Live Luxe by Jennifer Lopez. I dont want to say it's an old lady perfume but ugh it's not the most flattering smell. I havent worn it in about two years. JLo does know what she's doing though, Glow by Jlo smells wonderful. One fragrance I am obsessed with but do not own is Kate Moss' first perfume just called simply Kate Moss. I smelled it when I first visited Spain and was in the department store El Corte Ingles. I remembered the scent all the way back home to America. It was on sale at Walgreens after Christmas and my mom knowing how bad I wanted it bought it for my sister's January birthday. I was not thrilled. But hey, I'll sneak in a spritz when she's not looking. Other perfumes that are great trials are Coach's perfumes and Sarah Jessica Parker's. They are all hits.

BRITNEY'S GOING TO THE GRAMMY'S!

Yes! Yes! YES! How long has it been since she went?It had to be at least six or seven years ago back when she won her first grammy for Toxic. My lovely Britney Insider Logan has told me this means one of three things.
-She's performing (This would be amazing but her special performances are always so rare. But let's cross our fingers!)
-She is part of the Michael Jackson Tribute (She DID perform with him after all, and one of the VERY few and select pop stars today that can say that. Not even Madonna got to perform with Michael. Mmmhmm.)
-She's winning the award for Best Dance Recording (This is the one I hope REALLY happens. It would top off the monstrous success of Circus and would completely solidify her comeback. Her ONLY competitions-is Poker Face.)
At first I wasnt too excited about the Grammy's this year. I really didnt feel like watching ANOTHER Taylor Swift packed show, it gets very very old. But once I heard that Michael Jackson's children might accept his tribute award and now that Britney is going to be there-I'm watching.

Monster Star

A style that is so cosmic, so out there but sophisticated all the time
Combinations no one could ever think of using their own mind
Put her next to another and they look so earthly, so dull, such a bore
In this world of vogue, she would win a fashion war
People wonder if its a costume, if the the facade comes off at night
Or is she really not a human, disparated from real life
There is not someone similar, not one who she is like
All her fans hope dispirit never touches her
They hope the good old tinsletown curse blows right over
Her 'little monsters' are what inspire her, keep her fulfilled
keep her cheerful and most of all keep her sane
Staying alert is the only way to play a love game
Radio play may die but music is everlasting
Monsters everywhere will be dancing to GaGa forever

Ohhh I remember when I first discovered GaGa. I saw a preview for Just Dance on TRL (Yes. TRL! I found GaGalita a loooong time ago!) and was hooked on that beat. I looked up her other songs and downloaded every one I could get. My friends constantly asked me who I was listening to in the car and when I repsonded with "Lady Gaga" they looked at me like I was crazy. Now the whole world knows her. I wrote this poem in Creative Writing cause Bad Romance was stuck in my head all that morning. I liked the way it turned out to be a character sketch and a critique all in one. Go me :) But really, go Gaga for inspiring me musically and creatively.

A Poem.

Union Jack, oh Union Jack
Three colors, so simple, but I keep looking back
I dont know what it is that makes me fascinate
That makes me dream of seeing you in person when I'm up so late
The only flag, that is fashionable
Seen on rock stars to Posh Spice
or regular people just living life
Union Jack, oh Union Jack how I love you so
And I wish to live in your country when I grow old

Yes. That was my lovely and pathetic poem on the Union Jack. I just started a creative writing class so I have a much more open mind when it comes to poetry now. (Especially when I'm not being told to write a haiku or something about nature or my life or whatever) Actually now that I think about it...I'm going to post some work I've done :)

New Look!

Yay! I finally figured out how to get my blog looking pretty and what not! I hope you guys like :) I know, it's a lot of pink! But I'll be switching it up every now and then. I should probably get to doing my homework now...*sigh*

Cupid's Day

Valentine's Day. The day where all single ladies stay home and mope and cry and eat chocolate and watch Love Actually all day. All I can say is thank God Valentine's Day is on a weekend this year. I can't deal with all the couples at school-but I can deal with all the candy. This year I'm planning on having a single lady bash at my house for all my friends complete with cute little pastries and baked goods, fruit punch, candy, pink and red decorations and watching Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging for the umpteenth time. I also thought it would be a perfect blog photoshoot oppurtunity too where everyone looks cute and is dressed nice for the superficial holiday. I feel slightly stupid for wanting to run a fashion and lifestyle blog with no fashion or lifestyle pictures. But I'll get them up there. My party will be the perfect opportunity. I'm excited! If you guys have any ideas let me know :)

Down the rabbit hole....

How cute would an Alice in Wonderland party be? Comepletely perfect in my opinion since my birthday is in March and that is also when the movie comes out. (Anything with Johnny Depp is going to be HUGE. I cant wait to see it, I'm a huge fan). I did have a huge quincenera last year though...so my chances for having a sweet sixteen are very slim. But I dont see the harm in inviting a few friends over for some fun! Plus I dont want a huge party, because there always is that ONE other person who plans their party the same day or weekend of mine, and I'm done with that fiasco happening every year. I would want it to be me, a good ammount of my friends, food and stunning decorations! Let's see how well I can do convincing my mom :)
